Myths vs Truths
How many times have you heard “Don’t get too skinny or too muscular”? I swear that annoyed me tremendously when I first started working out. In conversations, I would talk to people about my weight lifting and how excited I am that I’m strong 💪🏾 It’s often said that if a woman lifts heavy weights, she will start to look masculine. I just want the world to know thats not true. There are a lot of other factors that come into play when it comes to gaining muscle.
I love working out and going to the gym. I love the thrill of weight lifting! Its so exhilarating seeing the surprised looks on people’s faces when Im pushing or pulling some heavy weight. Everyone that knows me knows that leg day is my favorite. You know shout out to my trainer because the ass is “assing” 🍑 Not only did I grow my butt in the gym from weight liftng but I also have been able to lift my breast! We have to move pass the misconception that women who do heavy lifting won’t look feminine.
I had to learn to just shut people out when it came to certain conversations about women and weights. There are woman who work out and lift heavy weights regularly and their bodies are AMAZING 🤩 and they still embody femininity.
I have decided to share some of the benefits of women and weights 🫶🏾

Natural Bodies are STILL Winning
Absolutely incredible progress! The left represents my peak weight (2010 or 2012), the middle showcases my lowest weight during the challenging times of the Covid era (2021), and the right captures my transformation in January (2023). Despite weighing more than I did in 2021, I still fit into the same dress size. This just proves that dedication in the gym and discipline in the kitchen can truly work wonders! Let’s not underestimate the impact of diet in this journey.
